About the place

Iris Délice started in March 2018, when Peter Schuller left his job at a multinational and opened his own pastry workshop. At first he worked mostly for hotels, restaurants and cafés, and during the pandemic he began selling directly to customers. The workshop on Strada Someșului has large windows onto the kitchen and is now the only outlet listed on the website; you can walk in without ordering ahead.

The counter holds croissants, the pistachio one being the most mentioned, pain au chocolat, canelés, éclairs, tarts and cakes such as Sacher or Dobos, plus bread and sandwiches. The desserts are left undecorated, so that only the taste counts. On Google it has 4.7 from 271 reviews, which praise the croissants, the éclairs and the coffee. There are only a few seats, and a handful of negative reviews complain about how staff treated them.
