About the place
ISSA Resort opened on 11 August 2025 on the ISSA estate, more than 70 hectares of vineyard on the edge of Turda, owned by a group that grew out of the Crama La Salina winery. The name comes from Potaissa, the town's ancient name. The hotel has 53 rooms and suites, and around the outdoor pool there are 11 duplex villas with another 22 apartments. It has a spa with a heated indoor pool and saunas, a gym, padel and pickleball courts, the Nidus restaurant, a pub and an indoor riding arena in the main building, where horse shows are held.
On Booking it has 9.6 from 243 reviews, all written since the opening, with the highest marks for cleanliness and comfort. Guests praise the rooms, the breakfast, the horses and the horse show. A few reviews, however, complain about the attitude of some staff, long waits in the restaurant and the information given about spa access. On Google the resort's listing has 4.4 from about 900 reviews, but it also includes old reviews from before the hotel opened.
